Type K (Section 107-2-D1) Power Plug
Also known as the Danish.
About Type K (Section 107-2-D1)
Type K is the Danish standard, codified as Afsnit 107-2-D1. Two 4.8 mm round pins are arranged like Type F, but the ground is a separate semi-circular ("half-moon") pin below the live/neutral pair rather than the side clips of Schuko.
Danish sockets accept Type C Europlugs and Type E French plugs but treat them as ungrounded. A Type F Schuko will fit but the ground clip won't make contact with the half-moon socket ground, so the appliance will run ungrounded — a safety concern for high-current devices.
Type K is used in Denmark, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Bangladesh. The plug is rated 13 A at 250 V.
