About the Danish Standard
The Danish telephone connector (a Krone-derived 3- or 4-pin plug) was the standard analogue telephone connector in Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands until widespread RJ-11 adoption in the early 2000s. The plug uses a small rectangular body with separate ringer and line pins.
Modern installations almost always include RJ-11, but older residential buildings in Denmark may still expose only Danish-jack sockets. A Danish-to-RJ-11 adapter is sometimes required.
