To create a new Dial-up connection in Windows Vista, follow these steps:

  1. From the Windows Vista default Start menu, click Connect To.
  2. In the Connect to a network dialog box, click Set up a connection or network.
  3. In the Connect to a network dialog box, click Set up a dial-up connection.
  4. In the Set up a dial-up connection dialog box, enter the appropriate information, and then click Connect.

In order to get the correct details for making a connection you must first look up an access number here: http://www.tempestcom.com/guide/coverage.aspx

Once you have the correct number, click on details. This will tell you what the username prefix or suffix to use. Your base username when connecting using Dial-up networking will be username@tempestcom.com.

If you click details and it indicates that there is a prefix of "Ipass/" then, your username would be: Ipass/username@tempestcom.com

Replace "username" in the above example with your account name, login ID or username that was assigned to you.
